My career with interiors started to take shape some 20 years ago in Finland when I chose my first wallpaper; pastel floral Laura Ashley. Brave move for a teenager going through a goth phase in her life but I still stand by my choice today. It was a good wallpaper and, to my father's despair, the most expensive one in the shop! I have chosen many wallpapers since, put up and ripped out many more and have painted hectares of ceiling, wall and floor space in a search for the beauty that would indeed demonstrate itself through purpose and form as my muse Alvar Aalto has said. I regard my style to be both modern contemporary and classic, with love of period features and, project permitting, spiced up slightly with oddities and curios. I do not design show houses but homes where you simply cannot wait to return to for beauty, practicality, comfort and happiness.
